Terms of use

Agreeing to these terms

By using Hanger you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. Where they differ, these terms apply to Hanger. You need to be at least 13 to use Hanger.

Your closet and your photos

• They're yours. You keep ownership of the photos you add, your try-on photo, and the cut-outs, enhanced photos and try-on images made from them. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Hanger for you, as described in the privacy policy.
• Only add what you're allowed to. Add photos you took or have the right to use. Only use a photo of yourself, or of someone who has agreed, for try-on.
• Keep it lawful. Don't use Hanger for anything illegal, sexual or harmful, or to make images of other people without their consent.

The AI features

Tagging, enhance, try-on, outfit scans and the AI stylist send your photos, or a text list of your pieces, to our AI providers (Anthropic and OpenAI). Hanger asks your permission before the first photo is sent. AI results are a best effort: tags can be wrong, an enhanced photo is a redrawing that may differ in small details from the real piece, and a try-on is an approximation of how an outfit could look on you, not a guarantee of fit, colour or size. Check before you buy, wear or rely on them.

Your account

Hanger works without an account. Signing in with Apple is optional and keeps your closet in sync between your devices. You're responsible for what happens on your account. You can delete your account and its data at any time in Settings > Delete Account.

Hanger Plus

Hanger is free to use, with a free allowance of enhances and try-ons to start. Hanger Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, that adds a monthly allowance of enhances and try-ons and the AI stylist. Allowances reset each month and don't carry over.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
• It renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
• If an introductory offer is shown, it's for new subscribers only and becomes the full price when it ends.
• Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Fair use

To keep the AI features available for everyone, Hanger limits how many requests can be made in a short time. Don't try to get around the allowances or limits, reverse engineer the service, or use it to run automated requests.

The app

Hanger is provided as is, without warranties. Features may change or stop, and the weather comes from a third party and can be wrong. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law where you live.

Ending

You can stop using Hanger and delete your account at any time. We may suspend access for someone who breaks these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes

We may update these terms. If the changes are significant we'll let you know in the app and update the date above. Continuing to use Hanger means you accept the updated terms.
